This was Lydiate Primary's first year at the Liverpool Peace Proms - and it certainly won't be our last! The Lydiate Voices choir have been busy rehearsing songs and actions since September, and today it all paid off as they sang their hearts out, along with the critically acclaimed Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland and 3,000 children from primary schools across Liverpool. Teachers, parents and the children themselves enjoyed the concert so much! Here's to next year when we hope even more of our children will become involved - all that's required is an enjoyment of singing!

  • Lydiate Primary in Parliament

    Thu 09 Jan 2020
Many thanks to Bill Esterson, our local MP, who supported our need for a new school building in Parliament (see our twitter page). Bill visited our school on Monday and spoke with our pupils about his role as an MP. Despite our building needing to be updated, we have the most amazing pupils and staff and performed significantly above national average at the end of Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in the most recent national benchmarking. We deserve a new school - fingers crossed that Bill's pleas are acted upon as soon as possible!
