  • Elm Class have an Art Attack

    Tue 28 Jan 2020

Linking to our main topic of China, today Elm class investigated Chinese ceramics, specifically from the Ming dynasty.  We discussed the main subjects of the vases and plates before having a go ourselves in our sketch books.  Later we honed our drawing skills by putting our designs onto a vase template in the classic blue colour, using pressure and different drawing techniques to make as many different shades of blue we could using only one pencil.

I'm sure you'll agree that our final products are worth the millions that a real vase would go for at Christie's.
