    Coronation Day at Lydiate

The children have had a fabulous day today celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III.  The morning was spent with the children from Nursery to Year 6 creating a Castle fit for a King, from recycled materials.  The whole school then congregated together to sing the National Anthem and dance our Coronation dance, which had every child, not to mention the adults, all smiling.  The smiling continued as the children then got to eat their party food surrounded by their beautiful art work which was made into Coronation bunting.  It truly was a day to remember!

  • York 2022

    Sun 13 Mar 2022

What an amazing time our Year 6 students had in York.  They covered some miles as they walked the length and breadth of York to visit some of the attractions.  The railway museum, Jorvik centre, Barley Hall, York Minster, the Castle Museum, a river cruise, Yor Chocolate Story, the Shambles the cinema and more!

We're so proud of our classes and how they represented the school in the hotel and around the city.

Thank you to Mrs Allen, Miss Dower, Miss Parry and Mr Martindale who accompanied us to help make your children's trip a success and thanks to the parents for all your kind comments.
