The excitement built throughout the day as the children couldn't wait for their mums, dads, nans and grandads to come into school to read with them!  Books were carefully chosen in advance from the class library as the children wanted to show off their fabulous reading.  Fluent reading and great expression was heard throughout the room as the children delved into their books.  Some parents showed good expression too!  Well done everyone and thank you to all the adults who came to join us, we hope to see you again shortly.

  • Weighing in Cedar Class

    Thu 27 Feb 2020

In Cedar Class we have explored and compared the different ways we can measure and have learned how to read different types of scales. Today, we used a variety of weighing scales. We split into three groups, each rotating around 3 different weighing activities - measuring pancake ingredients, weighing parcels, weighing ourselves. We compared the data within each group, ordering heaviest to lightest and lightest to heaviest. We also made comparisons using the symbols < and > (less than/more than).
