Reception on the Move!
Mon 24 May 2021Reception children have been so excited about their new classrooms and outdoor area. There has been much fun, exploration and learning in their new provision. Hopefully we have captured their interest and joy with this gallery of photographs.

Cedar and Maple went on a 2-D and 3-D shape hunt!
Thu 29 Apr 2021Our brilliant year 1s and 2s managed to find a wide variety of 2-D and 3-D shapes on our hunt today. Our year 1s could spot and name all of the shapes they found. Our Year 2s could explain and show the properties of each shape we found.

Willow's Week
Wed 14 Apr 2021This week, we are focusing on the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We have been making repeating caterpillar patterns, as well as enjoying all of other activities such as reading, snack, drawing, music and shopping in our very own supermarket! We are very excited to announce the arrival of five very hungry caterpillars which we will watch grow into butterflies. How exciting!

Cedar Showed Off Their Brilliant Drawing Skills
Wed 17 Mar 2021Cedar class created some fantastic observational drawings of our classrooms. We took out our mats, grabbed our pencils and made our way onto the field. The children used all of the skills they learned during their home learning time. -

Forest school fun for Reception
Tue 09 Mar 2021Today Reception had a very exciting visit to our new 'Forest school' area.
We got creative and created our own nature crowns. The children loved exploring the space and collecting natural treasures to put on their crown. Look at those great big smiles! We cannot wait to go back again. I wonder what our next forest school adventure will bring...

Christmas fun! in Acorn
Fri 11 Dec 2020This week we wore Christmas jumpers to raise money for 'save the children'. We had a very special visitor. Acorn loved telling Santa what they would like for Christmas. We have also been very busy filming a Christmas video to share with all of our families. -
Acorn are learning how to be healthy
Fri 04 Dec 2020Acorn started the week with a P.E session. We know that exercise is an important way to stay fit and healthy. Watching some Olympic athletes inspired many of our children. We have also been exploring ways to keep our teeth healthy. We have set up an experiment by placing eggs inside different drinks. We will observe to see what happens to the shell of each egg. -
