• Lydiate Primary in Parliament

  Many thanks to Bill Esterson, our local MP, who supported our need for a new school building in Parliament (see our twitter page). Bill visited our school on Monday and spoke with our pupils about his role as an MP. Despite our building needing to be updated, we have the most amazing pupils and staff and performed significantly above national average at the end of Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in the most recent national benchmarking. We deserve a new school - fingers crossed that Bill's pleas are acted upon as soon as possible!

  

• Otterspool Adventure News

  We would like tell you about a fantastic Christmas Event called Otterspool Adventure!  The experience is a three hour extravaganza including a pantomime produced by LHK, famous for the performances at the Epstein Theatre, Gingerbread Decorating with Mrs Claus, Make-A-Bear, a visit to Santa and a trip to the Toy Shop! One lucky family will win a family pass in the raffle at our Christmas Fair.

  

• Our first day at Maghull High

  Our first day at Maghull High has gone brilliantly. The children have quickly got used to their new surroundings and are happy and safe. Thank you to our parents/carers for your fabulous support during this transition.

  

• Anti-Bullying Week

  What an amazing week we've had! The children have really explored what bullying is and how to be kind and take a stand against bullies. They have made some super canvases to share with you at home. Take a look at the photos from our assembly where each class shared poems, drama, dances, songs and messages ... as well seeing the winning canvases for each class. Congratulations to Jessica, Sofia, Layton, Jack, Solara, Elsie, Leah, Daisy, Jessica, Marley-Rose & Elliot.

  

• Crazy Hair Day!

  Mrs Forshaw has had to go for a lie-down to recover from the shock of the outrageous hairstyles worn by the children of Lydiate Primary today! Many thanks for your donations for the Christmas fair.

  

• Harvest Festival

  School Council would like to say a massive thank you to all parents and children for your very generous donations to our local food bank in celebration of Harvest Festival.  The enormous amount of food was collected today by South Sefton Food Bank which will be given to food banks in our local area.
