  • Valentine's Disco

    The children from Nursery upto Year 2 had a dancetastic time at the Valentines disco today.  The enjoyment could be seen on all of their faces! They had some fabulous moves too.
  • Elm - Science Skeletons in the Closer

    As part of our science unit, Animals Including Humans, we investigated the human skeleton and its function in our body. 

     

    A visit from Senior Skelly helped inspire the children to think and demonstrate what would happen to us without our skeleton, and to draw life-sized skeletons with the protective features labelled. 

     

     

     

  • Oak Class - Algebra

    Oak class have had to work out our lesson objective today. They had to create shapes and create an algebraic rule to identify the nth term. Super investigation skills.
  • Birch Learned All About Taxes From HMRC

    Our school was lucky enough to be visited by representatives from HMRC. The children were fully immersed in the world of taxes. We learned about where they come from, who pays them and what they are used for. It was a very interesting lesson.
  • Making a Web of Compliments - Elm

    Today Elm class explored the power of positive and kind words by making a compliments web.  Each member of Team Elm received, and  gave, a compliment or kind words to another class mate passing them a piece of wool.  The result was this beautiful and unique physical manifestation of our kind words to each other. 

     

    Their task this week is to say at least one kind thing another classmate each playtime. 

  • Rowan Class Assembly - Teamwork!

    Rowan class performed their class assembly yesterday all about Teamwork! The Rowan class rock band at the end were fantastic and got the crowd rocking. As we've said many times in Rowan class, Teamwork makes the dream work!
  • Safer Internet Day

    The children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 all enjoyed an assembly today learning how to keep safe whilst using the internet.  Mrs Laycock shared a fabulous poem with the children, emphasising all the great things we use the internet for, but the important message of DON'T SHARE OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION was made very clear to the children!  Enjoy the internet children knowing you'll be safe if you don't share your personal information.
  • Poplar On Diversity

    Poplar are entering a competition, run by the Premier League to design a poster that represents and promotes Diversity in teams. We think there might be one or two in there that could win those amazing prizes for the school! Wish us luck!
  • Deep Dive on Pandas - Elm

    Elm class used their ICT skills to scour the internet and find out as much about the Giant Panda as they could.  Picking only the freshest bamboo shoots of information they filled their topic books with amazing, fun and sometimes gastric facts about this amazing animal. 
  • Ready for action in our brand new football kit!

    The football team will be wearing this kit for their future matches. Would you like to be in the team? Make sure you work hard and always show good behaviour.
