Usain Bolt is quaking in his boots - Elm
Thu 15 Oct 2020This term, Elm class have been doing athletics for our PE topic. After learning the strategies and techniques of professional runners, we had built up to a competition.
Children self-assessed their sprinting and were split into two races for boys and girls. There was a medal for the winner of each race, but also two medals for most improved.
It was a wonderful afternoon with some fantastic sportsmanship on show.

Fantastic Fossils from Elm
Thu 01 Oct 2020As part of our Stone Age topic, the Year 3 and 4 corridor have been making fossils. We broke the process down into stages and discussed each one as we flattened our clay, made our impression, remove the item to leave a mould and then replaced it with plaster of Paris.
I think you'll agree the results were amazing and the level of interest, questioning and learning that went on impressed Mrs Forshaw who popped in to see our exciting activity.
