  • Biscuit Henge - Elm and Cherry

    Tue 10 Nov 2020

    Q. What is 5000 years old and can be dunked in tea?

    A. Biscuit Henge!

As part of our Stone Age topic, we've been studying Stone Henge and how it has changed through the years.  We tried to recreate this with sweet monoliths.  We found it so difficult to balance our biscuits that it gave us a real incite into the ingenuity and skills required to build the real one.

As an added boost to our local community, we purchased some extra biscuits which will be donated to the local foodbanks.

  • Who loves books? Cedar love books.

  • Diwali Paper Puppet Show - Elm

    Tue 03 Nov 2020

As part of our Hinduism unit, today Elm learned about the story of Diwali, the festival of lights.  We watched a video explaining the story, before making our own puppets of Rana, Sita, Hanuman and the diabolical demon Ravana.

We then used a puppet theatre to retell the story in teams, combining narration with live puppet action to tremendous effect.
