Check Your Change at the Elm Cafe
Fri 14 Feb 2020Elm class went back to the Elm Cafe on Friday to put our hard work with money into action! Roleplaying as a waiter or a customer, we took turns to order a delicious meal off the menu. The waiter added up the bill, the customer paid with a £5 or £10 note and then together we worked out the correct change to be given. -
Our Fantastic Netball Squad
Fri 14 Feb 2020Our brilliant first and second teams did themselves and our school proud on Wednesday 12th February at the MADCOS Netball Tournament. Our second team came third in their group and our first team came runners up in the whole tournament. Well done to both teams! -
Namaste - Acorn have enjoyed doing Yoga
Fri 14 Feb 2020Over the past two weeks Acorn have been doing Yoga. It is very calming and we see lots of happy faces after our sessions. We hope to continue doing Yoga at least once a week. -
Holly Nursery - Oh no Baby Bear's blankets are all dirty. How will we get them clean? The children decided we need to wash them in some water. Just using water didn't get them very clean but when we used soap the blankets were much cleaner!

Safari comes to Maple Class
Thu 13 Feb 2020As part of our Geography topic on 'Kenya' the children explored why the animals are suited to their particular territory. They then had great fun placing their own cuddly toys in the marked territories around the classroom. Can you see which animals live in the Savannah, tall trees and the rivers of Kenya? -
Valentine's Disco
Thu 13 Feb 2020The children from Nursery upto Year 2 had a dancetastic time at the Valentines disco today. The enjoyment could be seen on all of their faces! They had some fabulous moves too. -
Elm - Science Skeletons in the Closer
Wed 12 Feb 2020As part of our science unit, Animals Including Humans, we investigated the human skeleton and its function in our body.
A visit from Senior Skelly helped inspire the children to think and demonstrate what would happen to us without our skeleton, and to draw life-sized skeletons with the protective features labelled.

Oak Class - Algebra
Wed 12 Feb 2020Oak class have had to work out our lesson objective today. They had to create shapes and create an algebraic rule to identify the nth term. Super investigation skills. -
Birch Learned All About Taxes From HMRC
Wed 12 Feb 2020Our school was lucky enough to be visited by representatives from HMRC. The children were fully immersed in the world of taxes. We learned about where they come from, who pays them and what they are used for. It was a very interesting lesson. -
Making a Web of Compliments - Elm
Tue 11 Feb 2020Today Elm class explored the power of positive and kind words by making a compliments web. Each member of Team Elm received, and gave, a compliment or kind words to another class mate passing them a piece of wool. The result was this beautiful and unique physical manifestation of our kind words to each other.
Their task this week is to say at least one kind thing another classmate each playtime.
