Maple's Adventures at Forest School
Last Thursday, Maple Class experienced their second day of Forest School and they were delighted to show and tell Mrs Foulkes all about it, as it was her first day. The day started with the children playing 'Ninja Hide and Seek.' The person 'on' could not move from their spot but needed to make a ' Ninja move' and the children in hiding had to watch out for this move as they had to report this back at the end of the game. The children found some brilliant hiding spots and at the end of each game they nearly always correctly identified the 'Ninja move.'
After this was 'creative fun time' whereby the children hunted for bugs, played with the digging and gardening equipment or made 'mud pies.' I'll let you draw your own conclusion as to what they enjoyed the most!
After getting washed and having a snack the children hunted the clues. Then sat around the fire-pit, they individually read out their clues and everyone guessed which animal they were describing. We learned that foxes live in 'dens' and badgers in 'setts.'
It was an amazing morning and I'm sure you'll agree from the photographs all of the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
