Welcome to the area of our website dedicated to our new Nursery parents. We hope you will find everything you need here, and will also keep adding to this page with useful information.

For children due to start our Nursery in September 2025, we will be hosting a Parent welcome evening. We strongly recommend that all our families attend this. A letter inviting you to this event will be emailed to you. Please also find a copy of the letter below.

Please check back here and we will publish key dates once we have finalised them.

At the parents meeting you will meet our Headteacher, Mrs Forshaw, and hear more about our fabulous school, key staff and learn how things work in Reception, important information such as uniforms and procedures, and gain a flavour of the curriculum and how your child will be learning.

Here is a handbook which we hope will give you some useful information about Holly Nursery. If you still have questions that you would like to ask then please contact the school office, via email, a member of the nursery team will contact you.

This is a really useful checklist of activities to practice with your child before they start Nursery.

We are really excited to meet you, the parents, and especially your child. We'd love to learn about your child and begin to understand about their likes/dislikes and interests. Quite often this can steer our planning and determine where we are taking our learning journey next.  It would be a great start if you could complete a copy of the All About Me poster with your child. A copy of this will be shared at the new parents meeting in June and there is also a copy on the page below for reference. Please bring the completed poster to your child's first visit to Holly Nursery.

As a nursery team it is our aim to make the transition into starting nursery as smooth, easy and enjoyable as possible. We are really looking forward to welcoming your precious little one into our caring, happy, hands on learning environment.
