Weighing in Cedar Class
Thu 27 Feb 2020In Cedar Class we have explored and compared the different ways we can measure and have learned how to read different types of scales. Today, we used a variety of weighing scales. We split into three groups, each rotating around 3 different weighing activities - measuring pancake ingredients, weighing parcels, weighing ourselves. We compared the data within each group, ordering heaviest to lightest and lightest to heaviest. We also made comparisons using the symbols < and > (less than/more than).

Rowan Class division by sharing and grouping!
Thu 27 Feb 2020This week in Rowan class we have been working hard on our division! First we learnt how to work out division sums through sharing using sweets and plates! Then we learnt how to solve division sums through grouping by using straws and creating shapes based on what we were dividing by! -
Are Those Your Teeth?
Wed 26 Feb 2020Year 3 and 4 had great fun making models of their own teeth using plasticine. We rolled our red plasticine to make gums and shaped our white plasticine to replicate our own teeth. Some of us had a few more gaps than others! -

Maple Class start Dancing!
Tue 25 Feb 2020This week Maple Class started their half term of dance lessons with 'Mr Glenn from GLS.' They were very excited and loved learning their left and right through singing and dancing. Watch this space to see how their dancing develops! -
School Council launch fundraising event
Tue 25 Feb 2020The School Council voted to support a fundraising event to raise money for St Joseph's Hospice which cares for very sick people in our area. Each child has been given a tube of smarties to enjoy but then fill the tubes with either 20p's or £1's which they will earn by doing 'jobs' at home. I'm sure you'll have the cleanest houses in the area!
