The Parents, Teachers And Friends Association
The PTFA is an important part of our school. It raises money, brings parents, friends and teachers together and gives everyone a good time.
The PTFA is open to every parent, grandparent or just friend of the school and meets twice a term on average. Each meeting has an agenda and lasts approximately an hour, where we discuss ideas for raising money and also social events for our children.
So far this year we have raised over £5 000 and purchased 15 laptops with a trolley and colour printer and paid for the Jubilee Garden to be re-landscaped. In addition we have paid for coach trips for the children to a pantomime at Christmas and bought presents for the children in the Lower School.
Whilst presenting numerous events, such as the Christmas Fayre, we raised over £4 000 and Tea With Santa for the Lower School, where 80 children had a meal with Santa and each child talked to him. We are running a Fashion Show for parents and a disco for the children. After Easter we hope to run a Beetle evening and a barbeque for the children – whilst in the summer we hope to be arranging the Leaver’s Party.
As you can see we do an important job that helps make this school that little bit more special. Why not come along to one of our meetings if you have the same desire we have - to give our children the best start in life?
