A further document that you may find helpful is the document referring to the Prevent Strategy, which has been much in the news recently. This paper will help you see how we are supporting you in helping your child enjoy British society and British values.
In our school, we have a range of reading scemes, which are book-banded to allow children to experience a wide-range of texts. Our main scheme is Oxford Reading Tree, which is then supplemented by ProjectX books amongst others. For phonics, we use the DFE's sponsored prograsmme 'Letters and Sounds' supplemented by resources from Hamilton Trust and Twinkl.
2016 was the first sitting of the revamped Year 2 tests - below you will find a presentation we gave to parents to explain them; they are daunting, but we are determined to support all of our children to achieve the very best they can.
